If everyone knew that God created the Heavens and the earth, and if everyone knew precisely how God created the Heavens and the earth, and if everyone could clearly see God’s handiwork in the world, who wouldn’t believe in God?
It would be easy to believe in God, and Satan would be irrelevant. We would not give Satan the time of day. We would not do his bidding. We could quickly recognize his deception and truth twisting. We would ignore his temptations and persuasive gimmicks. We would not be sucked into the sinful world of evil orchestrated by Satan for thousands of years.
If you remove God from creation, there is no God, and the rest of the Bible is irrelevant.
The Bible actually reveals a lot about Satan. It tells us about Satan’s fall from Heaven, his temptation of Eve in the Garden of Eden, his method of drawing Adam and Eve away from God, his own pride and how he uses that same fleshly tendency in humans to cause them to turn away from total dependence upon God to Satan and to their own flesh.
From the beginning Satan made it clear that his emphasis, his whole focus and his entire strategy was to get humans to do what he had already done—turn away from God to his own knowledge and his own reality. Satan told Eve, “For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” [Gen 3:5]
When used as a proper name, the Hebrew word, Satan, means “the adversary” (Job 1:6-12; 2:1-7). In the New Testament it is used interchangeably with “Diabolos,” or the devil, used more than thirty times. Easton’s Bible Dictionary clarifies Satan’s character:
He is also called “the dragon,” “the old serpent” (Rev. 12:9; 20:2); “the prince of this world” (John 12:31; 14:30); “the prince of the power of the air” (Eph. 2:2); “the god of this world” (2 Cor. 4:4); “the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience” (Eph. 2:2). The distinct personality of Satan and his activity among men are thus obviously recognized. He tempted our Lord in the wilderness (Matt. 4:1-11). He is “Beelzebub, the prince of the devils” (12:24). He is “the constant enemy of God, of Christ, of the divine kingdom, of the followers of Christ, and of all truth; full of falsehood and all malice, and exciting and seducing to evil in every possible way.” His power is very great in the world. He is a “roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Pet. 5:8). Men are said to be “taken captive by him” (2 Tim. 2:26). Christians are warned against his “devices” (2 Cor. 2:11), and called on to “resist” him (James 4:7). Christ redeems his people from “him that had the power of death, that is, the devil” (Heb. 2:14). Satan has the “power of death,” not as lord, but simply as executioner.
In Genesis 3:1 we are told that “the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made.” This means that Satan is the craftiest evil being to ever exist. This is what you and I are up against. Satan is so much smarter and craftier than you and me, we cannot in our wildest imaginations keep up with the wiles of the devil. Don’t think for a minute you can take on the devil and win. He’s been at this for a hundred thousand of your lifetimes.
What was Satan trying to do from day one in the Garden of Eden? He fully intended to draw the first man and woman God created away from the Creator, and to distort their understanding of God and of his creation. Satan did this with lies about knowledge!
Satan knew from the beginning how Adam and Eve were created and what motivated them, and he knew their weaknesses. This is evident in Genesis 3 verse 6:
When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that is was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate. Gen 3:6
Don’t miss the big revelations in these early Genesis verses about human character and our greatest weaknesses. It’s right there in the third chapter of the Bible in three abundantly clear points.
First, Eve saw that the tree was good for food, meaning it brought the physical body great fulfillment. Second, she saw that the tree was a delight to the eyes, meaning the eyes fed the lusts of the heart. Third, Eve saw that the tree was desirable to make one wise, meaning it met another human need—the need to fill that God-shaped vacuum, that hunger that has always driven men and women to chase after that “something” that will finally make them happy. From the very beginning through all of time men and women have chased lusts and money and power, rather than seek peace in the only place it can be found—in a relationship with God.
But notice that Satan was pulling Eve away from God in all three of the main areas that motivated her as a human being, and she quickly ran with the temptation. These are the same three areas that still motivate human beings to turn away from God today. Later we learn that Satan “deceived” Eve in this way. Don’t forget that word “deceived” or “deception.”
Do you think Satan might have been working since the fall in the Garden of Eden to continue to persuade you and every human God created that Satan’s reality is better than God’s? Do you think Satan has been successful in getting humans to believe that human knowledge is the true knowledge, and that they can educate and teach themselves the way things are, and that the Bible is not necessary because there is no God?
That is Satan’s most fundamental goal—to get you and every human being on earth to believe there is no God. There it is, out in the open now. That is one of Satan’s most important goals.
Satan is the craftiest of all created beings, and he knows that if you believe in him, you will also believe there is a real God, so he has been diligently working for thousands of years to make sure no one thinks he is real either.
Enter the secular anti-god scientists and philosophers. Enter Copernicus with the first complete secular model of the Heavens and the earth that totally denied there is a God of creation. Enter Werner Von Braun (Nazi Scientist)1President Truman agreed to hire Hitler’s scientists (200 of them) and bring them to the U.S., give them new identifies and jobs running a new organization called NASA. This ought to make NASA suspect from the very beginning of its inception. Remember, Hitler and his scientists were heavily involved in the occult, and it was Satan, not God, who played the primary role in determining their theories of creation, science, and warfare. who supervised NASA’s early rocket science division with his fellow Nazi scientists, and who put meat on the bones of the Copernicus heliocentric model of creation where there is not only no God, but where happenstance is the first rule of creation with a big bang that is itself unexplainable by their own laws of physics.
Notice they didn’t just leave God out of creation (where all the planets2Earth is not a planet. The Bible states that the earth does not move, that God hung the earth on nothing, and that the sun hurries back and forth in its movement, but the earth does not move. The meaning of “Planet” goes to the root meaning for “wanderer.” are named after Greek and Roman gods and goddesses), they also left out any mention of Satan. Both God and Satan are conspicuously missing from any account of creation promoted by NASA, Copernicus, the education system, the main street media, and the anti-god scientific community. How convenient!
What fertile soil Darwin had for his wild theories! Of course, to believe Darwin’s theories you have to believe there is no God, no Satan, and that the whole Universe is nothing more than a series of extraordinary coincidences that are mathematically impossible even after billions of years.
I give you NASA’s model of the earth, the sun and the moon, and the stars and the planets.
The last thing Satan wants you to think is that God created the Heavens and the earth, and that he did it precisely as he describes in the Bible. Americans have taken Satan’s bait hook, line, and sinker. Not only that, they get angry if you suggest the earth is not in a heliocentric model. So thoroughly brainwashed are the majority of Americans, they vociferously argue that the word of NASA rules over the Word of God.
