There’s a massive human contradiction that is more blatant and prevalent today than it’s ever been, at least in my lifetime, but I suspect it is more prevalent today than it has been in many generations. It’s like a mental chasm, a huge divide where a person on one side believes something with great conviction, but on the other side of the canyon far away, they believe something totally inconsistent and quite the opposite. In this case, the great divide is in the human brain. Here’s what I’m talking about.
The vast majority of people in a conversation will readily admit that we’re living in a time when you can’t be sure who’s telling the truth and who’s lying. Most often people will take off when the subject is raised, and they’ll add that we can’t trust the news media, our own Federal government agencies, our politicians at the municipal, state or Federal levels, and some will add that we get nothing but lies from our national intelligence agencies, including our previously worshipped FBI and CIA. Some people will recall the famous President Eisenhower quote about the great danger we face with the military-industrial complex.
After a lifetime of hearing people revere the U.S. Federal government and assume everyone in government is working for our best interests, the vast majority of people now seem to have awakened, and are saying openly that government cannot be trusted at all anymore.
And yet . . . people still hang onto a massive contradiction to this whole line of reasoning, which they are quite passionate about and clearly have thought about for years. What is that contradiction? What is the huge divide or chasm that seem to thrive inside so many people’s brain?
After great overtures expressing their distrust in government and corporate America, and after oozing a great deal of passion on the subject, if you say speak the four letter word, NASA, they immediately fall down to worship the holy name of NASA, and they lay prostrate at the alter of heliocentrism and a globe earth.
They will go on a long harangue about the fraud and lies and propaganda and hidden agendas of our Federal government, but there is one gigantic contradictory exception in their brain. NASA is to be worshipped, and all who don’t believe in the globe and heliocentrism are right to mistrust the government on everything, except when it comes to NASA’s big agenda promoting heliocentrism.
Nearly everything the government tells us is a lie, but to suggest the government has lied about the creation of the earth and Universe is somehow a massive conspiracy theory.
Can anyone explain how the human brain can live on two sides of the Grand Canyon?
